PACKAGE STYLES
Metelics’ MGV Series of tuning Varactor are Gallium
Arsenide, Hyperabrupt junctions with constant Gamma
0.75 (MGV-075 series), 1.00 (MGV-100 series) or 1.25
(MGV-125 series). These diodes have high Q (up to
4000 at 4 volts) which allows for high excellent tuning
performance from VHF to Ka band. There is a wide
range of capacitance values with a 10% capacitance
tolerance. Tighter tolerances are available upon
request. All devices are available in a variety of ceramic
packages and chip form.

1. Gamma: ±10% over the range of 2 – 20 volts. See Gamma Vs Voltage plot on Page 4.
2. Capacitance: nominal tolerance ±10% at -4 volts. Tighter tolerances are available upon request.
3. Ratio: Tolerance for the ratio are ±20% and are for die only. For Packaged parts the package capacitance must be added.
4. Q: This is calculated using the capacitance and resistance measured by Slotted Line at -4 volts and 600 MHz, normalized to 50 MHz.
