System Description
The WAU88xx-EVB system consists of an evaluation board with audio inputs and audio outputs and application
software that sends command and control via USB. Power is normally provided by USB.

Getting Started
Read/print the hardware user guide (WAU88xx-EVM User’s Guide) from the CD. It’s located in the Docs
directory.
Install the software from the CD, follow the on screen directions
Make sure PCB is not connected to PC
Run the application software program. It is located under All Program (Nuvoton Audio Codec).
From the Start up screen select the desired device (WAU8822, WAU8814 or WAU8812).
Please make a note the power to the WAU88xx-EVB is supplied through the USB cable.
Connect the supplied Mini USB cable to the board and attached to Pac’s USB port. If the board is detected by the
software, in the left hand of bottom corner of the application software a board attached indictor turns green.
Additional Information
To quickly set-up a full working path after attaching audio cable and head phone or Speaker to the WAU88xx-EVB
use the demo panel (Second Tab on the GUI). There are 2 easy steps for setting up and evaluating of a full working
path.
Step 1: Choose Settings (selecting input such as MIC AUX or Line in - Output such as HP, SPKR or Line-out)
