Until the 1980s, ELESTA
stood for Swiss innovation in
electromechanics and electronics.
When the new ELESTA relays
GmbH was founded in March
1997 from the legacy of the "old"
ELESTA Elektronik AG, the company
concentrated on the production of
relays with forcibly guided contacts.
Later, the elds of business for
customer-specic development
and production services as well as
sensor technology were added.
What began in 1997 with around a
dozen employees and the production
of a few relays became a success
story. In the middle of Europe, one of
the most innovative manufacturers
of relays was able to establish itself
successfully worldwide.
Some of the product innovation
milestones are the smallest, most
energy-e󰀩cient and attest relay.
The small SIS 212 relay was
awarded the innovation prize of the
SME Primus in 2005. A success
factor of today's company is the
implementation of the philosophy
of lean management, increasing
e󰀩ciency and combating waste in
the company. ELESTA was awarded
the "Swiss Lean Award" for this in
2012.
Today, our range of products and
services includes relays with forcibly
guided contacts with 25 basic
series as well as optical miniature
encoders and the development and
manufacture of customer-specic
sensors for functional safety. In
2013, ELESTA relays GmbH was
renamed ELESTA GmbH.
The continuous growth of the three
product areas makes it essential to
expand production capacities. We
expect further strong growth in the
coming years.
ELESTA shows that with well-
trained, motivated employees and
a well thought-out production and
management concept, maximum
competitiveness can be achieved.
