Technical Description
The ET3 Series is housed in a
rugged diecast zinc
enclosure, sealed to IP67
and with flush fitting glass
lenses, makes the ET3 series
especially suitable for difficult
and critical environments.
The ET3 series compact
photoelectric sensor is
available in the following
optical versions:
– Retroreflective
– Diffuse scanner
– Fixed focus diffuse
scanner
– Fiber optics
– Emitter/receiver
The ET3 series features 10 to
30 Vdc supply, has dual
NPN/PNP outputs, has light/
dark selection output and is
fitted with sensitivity control.
Switching frequency is 500
Hz with a maximum response
time of 1 ms.
To facilitate easy set-up, the
ET3 benefits from a green
stability LED which indicates
correct alignment and signal
strength.
On the emitter/receiver
versions the ET3 is supplied
with both test input and
alarm output functions which
provide an auto-diagnostic
test facility and an immediate
warning if failure.

The standard values for the operating ranges are referred to ideal
conditions, i.e. clean air, clean lenses, etc. Dust, air pollution and other
kinds of ambient contamination reduce the operating ranges.
