General Descript ion
Teccor 's new line of D-PA K se nsiti ve SCR sem i-con du ctors a re
hal f-w av e , un id i rect i on al , ga te -c ont ro lle d r ec tif i er s.These device s
are off ered with current ratings of 4 -10 amps and voltage ratings
of 100- 600 volts, with thr ee gate s en sitivi ties: 50, 20 0, an d 500
microa mpe res. The se sen sitive SCRs a re very us eful in ap plica-
tions where high gain is required. Gate currents of microamperes
contr ol load current s of s everal amper es.
Teccor s D-PAK SC Rs are available in a choice of t wo package s
as shown ab ove, surface mount (SM T ) TO-252AA and throug h
hole TO-251AA. The sturdy built assembled SCRs have copper
connections going directly to the die without any intermediate
wiring.
These SCRs from Teccor Electronics are par t of a broad line of
thyr istor prod uc ts with robust su rge c urre nt ca pabi lities.
This new line of d evices is designed f or high volume, low cost AC
power applicat ions s uc h as con trolle rs for motor load s, tools,
ground fault circuits, alarms, and general line voltage switching.
All Teccor SCRs have glass-passivated junctions to ensure long
term device reliability and permanent stability. Teccor’s glass
offers a rugged , reli able barr ie r aga inst junc tio n conta m ina-

information.

(7) 4.0A devices also have a pulse peak forward current on-state rat-
ing (repetitive) of 75A. This rating applies for operation at 60Hz,
75°C maximum tab (or anode) lead temperature, switching from
80V peak, sinusoidal current pulse width of 10µs minimum, 15 µs
maximum.
(8) Test conditions as follows:
TC 80°C, rectangular current waveform; rate-of-rise of current
10A/µs. Rate-of-reversa l of current 5A/µs. ITM = 1A (50µs
pulse) Repetition Rate = 60pps. VRRM = Rated. VR = 15V mini-
mum, VDRM = Rated. Rate-of-rise reapplied forward blocking volt-
age = 5V/µs. Gate Bias = 0V, 100 (during turn-off time interval)

General Notes
All measurements are made at 60Hz with a resistive load at an
ambient temperature of +25°C unless otherwise specified.
Operating temperature range (TJ) is -40°C to +110 °C
Storage temperature range (TS) is -65°C to +150°C
Lead solder temperature is a maximum of 230°C for 10 seconds
maximum; 1/16" (1.59mm) from case.
The case temperature (TC) is measured as shown on dimensional
outline drawings. See mechanical specifications on page 6 of this
data sheet.
