INTRODUCING TO PRODUCT
The LX2203 Evaluation Board (EB) is available from Microsemi for evaluating the performance of the LX2203
battery charger integrated circuit. (See picture 1) . The key features to be shown include : Conditioning mode, Top
off charge, inherent load disconnect and 1A constant current capability.

LX2203 EVAL
CONNECTIONS
The LX2203 EVAL KIT has three test points and 1
connector::
Function Label On Board
Input Power VIN+
Ground GND, GND3
Battery P3
JUMPERS
The LX2203 Evaluation Board has 1 jumper. The
jumper has two possible positions and is designed to
always be installed in one position or the other. The
function of the jumper is as follows:
Jumper Position Connection
On Pin 1 – Pin 2
Enable Off Pin 2 – Pin 3
HOOK UP
The following is a demonst ration scenario that can be
used to evaluate the LX2203 (See Figure 3):
Directions for hook up (AC adapter only mode ):
1) Place ENABLE jumper to OFF position.
2) Connect a 1AH single cell Lithium Ion
battery to the P3 terminal.
3) Apply a 5.00V power supply (>2A) between
VIN+ and GND test points.
4) Move ENABLE jumper to the ON position.
