AD9734/AD9735/AD9736 EVALUATION BOARD (AD9734-EBZ/AD9735-EBZ/AD9736-EBZ)
Note: This documentation is for the older AD973x-EBZ evaluation boards. The documentation for the newer AD973x-DPG2-EBZ boards is included in the DAC Software Suite.
The AD9734/AD9735/AD9736 evaluation board comes with software which allows the user to program the SPI port. Via the SPI port, the AD9779 can be programmed into any
of its various operating modes.
The schematic, layout and readme files can be obtained from the following links

AD9736 BUILT- IN SELF TEST
The AD9736 includes a Built-In Self-Test capability for use in factory testing. This capability may also be useful at the board level to check for sufficient timing margin or to
locate PCB manufacturing defects.
While a spectrum analyzer may be used to test the DAC's operation, a small number of timing-induced bit errors may not be detectable. Using the BIST signature register will
allow data transfer to be completely verified.
The AD9736 includes an LFSR signature generator. When data is clocked into the DAC, a unique signature is calculated which may be read back via the SPI port. The
included vectors may be used to validate the entire data bus and the bit vectors can be used to isolate failing bits.

AD9736 BIST Vectors and Instructions
For complete information, please refer to the data sheets which are available from the AD9734, AD9735 or AD9736 product pages.
The AD9734/AD9735/AD9736 evaluation board has been designed to optimize performance of the DAC, as well as for ease of customer use and digital interface. To operate
the board, the user must apply power, a clock source, a digital data source, and be able to observe the DAC output on either a spectrum analyzer or an oscilloscope. A sine or
square wave clock will work well as a source.
