The SLVU2.8-8G is an ultra low capacitance TVS array, designed to protect four line pairs from the eects of Electro-
stac Discharge (ESD), Electrical Fast Transients (EFT) and switching transients. The SLVU2.8-8G exceeds Level 4 IEC
61000-4-2, with a peak pulse power rang of 500 Was for an 8/20µs waveshape.
The ultra low capacitance and low leakage current of the device allows the designer to protect high speed data ap-
plicaons. Packaged in a SO-8 conguraon, the SLVU2.8-8G is both RoHS and REACH compliant.

The SLVU2.8-8G provides 4 lines of protecon in a common mode conguraon. Circuit connecvity is as follows:
Line 1 connected to Pin 1
Line 2 connected to Pin 8
Line 3 connected to Pin 5
Line 4 connected to Pin 4
Pins 2, 3, 6, 7 are connected to ground

Circuit board layout is crical for electromagnec compability protecon. The following guidelines are recommended:
The protecon device should be placed near the input terminals or connectors, the device will divert the transient current
immediately before it can be coupled into the nearby traces.
The path length between the TVS device and the protected line should be minimized.
All conducve loops including power and ground loops should be minimized.
The transient current return path to ground should be kept as short as possible to reduce parasic inductance.
Ground planes should be used whenever possible. For mullayer PCBs, use ground vias.
