Entry Route: Inhalation, skin, eye EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE Containment in polymeric binder greatly reduces risk of contact with hazardous materials. Tha benzimidazole zinc salt causes eye irritation and may cause upper respiratory tract irritation; toxic by ingestion; contains 1-2% untreated mineral oil - reported to cause skin tumors in lab animals. Solvent refined residuum may cause mild skin irritation upon prolonged or repeated contact; may cause minimal eye irritation. TMPTMA may cause moderate eye irritation with a burning sensation, tearing, redness or swelling; may cause delayed skin irritation and blistering. EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES Flush eyes/skin with plenty or water - consult physician if irritation persists If inhaled remove to fresh air If ingested, consult physician MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: Individuals with chronic respiratory disorders (I.E., asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, etc.) may be adversely affected by any fume or airborne particulate exposure. Sensitive individual may be susceptable to allergic reaction upon contact with skin, eyes, or respiratory tract. SECTION VII SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES STEPS TO BE TAKE IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED: COLLECT: Return to container WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Dispose of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. SECTION Vill SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION RESPIRATORY PROTECTION Recommend NIOSH approved organic vapor respirator if ventilation is inadequate VENTILATION: Local exhaust - Yes Mechanical (General) Yes PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Recommended impervious Eye protection - Recommended SECTION IX SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS Precautions to be taken in handling and storing Store below 120 F away from direct sources of heat and sunlight. Other precautions: Wash thoroughly after handling The technical content of this document has been reproduced verbatim from the Material Safety Data Sheet furnished by the manufacturer. Because many rubber materials contain armine-based ingredients, trace residual amounts (well below 0.1%) of nitrosamine are likely to exist in most rubber compounds as 4 result of being formed in earlier processing steps; certain processing steps can form higher amounts of nitrosamines. Avaid mixing or exposing this product with: nitrates, nitrites, nitrogen oxides or other nitrosamines as potentially hazardous levels of nitrosamines may be formed. Salt bath curing with nitrate/nitrite salts can be expected to produce hazardous amounts of volatile nitrosamines. Emissions from such processes must be exhausted. Employees must avoid inhaling fumes from hot rubber processing. ~, SIGNATURE d | AD TITLE AS conditions or methods of use are beyond our contrci, we do not assume any responsibility and expressly disclaim any liability for any use of this material.
