SAW filters for wifi and wimax Applications (R) SAW filters for WiFi and WiMax Applications The IDT family of SAW filters features both high performance and low loss devices for an exact fit to WiFi and WiMax application requirements. Description Worldwide Interoperability Microwave Access (WiMax) is an attempt by the telecommunications industry to integrate Internet, wireless and wireline into one device. The goal is to integrate multiple access technologies such as cellular, WiFi, and broadband while offering a consistent service experience across all environments. IDT has developed a family of SAW devices suitable for IF filtering in WiMax applications. A wide range of IF frequencies are offered to provide more flexibility to support customer requirements. SAW Features: * Wide range of common frequencies available * Standard package footprints * Insensitive to shock and vibration * Low passband ripple * Wide operating temperature range * Good out-of-band rejection * Small size * Low cost * LCC surface mount * RoHS Mixer Receive Filter LNA (R) IF IF SAW IF Amp Mixer Voice/Data Out Demodulator IC Duplexer IF SAW IF Transmit PA Filter Driver Amp (R) Mixer IF IF SAW Modulator Mixer Figure 1.
