3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Ite m re quireme nts. The indi vidua l i te m requireme nts shall be in accordance with MIL-H-38534
and as specified herein.
3.2 Des ign, cons truction, and physical dimens ions. The des ign, constr uction, and phy sica l
dime nsions s hall be a s s pecified in MIL-H-38534 and herein.
3.2.1 Case outline(s). The ca se outli ne(s) shall be in accordance with 1.2.2 herein.
3.2.2 Terminal conne ctions . The te rminal conne ctions shall be as specified on figure 2.
3.3 Elect rica l per form ance chara cteristics. Unless otherwise specified herein, the electrical performance characteristics are as
specified in table I and sha ll apply ove r the full specified operating tempe ra ture range.
3.4 Electrical test requireme nts. The electrical test requirement s s hall be the s ubgroups spe cified in table II. The electrical tests
for each subgroup are describe d in table I.
3.5 Marking. Marking shall be in accor dance with MIL-H- 38534. The part shall be marked with t he PIN listed in 1.2 herein. In
addition, the manufacturer's PIN ma y a lso be ma rked as listed in QML-38534 (see 6.6 herein).
3.6 Manufacturer eligibility. In addition to t he gene ral requirements of MIL-H-38534, t he manuf acture r of the part described
here in sha ll submit f or DESC-ECC review and approval electrical te st dat a (va riables format) on 22 devices from the initial quality
conforma nce inspection group A lot sam ple, produce d on the certified li ne, for each device type lis ted herein. The data should als o
include a summary of all para m eters m anua lly tested, and for t hose which, if a ny, are guaranteed.

3.7 Certificat e of compliance . A certificate of complia nce s hall be r equired from a manufacturer in order to be lis ted as an
approved s ource of supply in QML-38534 (see 6.6 herein). The certificat e of compliance submitted to DESC-ECC prior to listing a s
an approved source of supply shall af firm that the m anufacturer's product meets the requirements of MIL-H-38534 and the
requirements herein.
3.8 Certificat e of conforma nce. A certifica te of conforma nce as re quired in MIL-H-38534 shall be provided with each lot of
microcircuits delivered to this drawing.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Sampling and inspection. Sampling and inspe ction procedures shall be in accor dance with MIL-H- 38534.
4.2 Screening. Scree ning shall be in accordance with MIL-H-38534. The following additional criteria shall apply:
a. Burn-in test, method 1015 of MIL-STD-883.
(1) Test condition A, B, C, or D using the circuit s ubmitt ed with the ce rtifica te of compliance (see 3.7 herein).
(2) T a s specified in a ccorda nce with table I of method 1015 of MIL-STD-883.

b. Interim and final e lectrical te s t parameters s hal l be as specifi e d in table II herein, except interim electrical parameter tes ts
prior t o burn-in ar e optional at the discre tion of the m anufacturer.
4.3 Quality conform ance inspection. Quality conforma nce ins pect ion shall be in accordance with M IL-H-38534 and as
specified herein.
4.3.1 Group A inspection. Gr oup A inspection sha ll be in accordance with MIL-H-38534 and as follows:
a. Tests shall be as specified in table II herein.
b. Subgroups 7 a nd 8 shall be om itt ed.
4.3.2 Group B inspection. Group B inspection shall be in a ccordance with MIL-H-38534.
4.3.3 Group C inspe ction. Group C inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-H- 38534 and as follows:
a. End-point electrical paramet ers shall be as specified in table II here in.
b. Stea dy-state li fe te st conditions, m ethod 1005 of MIL-STD- 883.
(1) Test condition A, B, C, or D using the circuit s ubmitt ed with the ce rtifica te of compliance (see 3.7 herein).
(2) T a s specified in a ccorda nce with table I of method 1005 of MIL-STD-883.

6.2 Replaceability. Microcircuits covered by this drawing will replace the same generic device covered by a contractor-prepared
specification or draw ing.
6.3 Configuration control of SMD's. All proposed changes to exi sting SMD's will be coordinated with the users of record for the
individual documents. This coordination will be accomplished in accordance with MIL-STD-481 using DD Form 1693, Engineering
Change Proposal (Short Form).
6.4 Record of users. Military and indust rial users shall inform Defense Elect ronics Supply Center whe n a s ystem application
requires configuration control and the applicable SMD. DESC will maintain a record of users and this list will be used for
coordinat ion and dist ribution of changes to the drawings. Users of drawings covering microelectronics dev ices (FSC 5962) should
contact DESC-ECC, t elephone (513) 296-8527.
6.5 Comm ents. Comments on this drawing should be dire cte d to DESC-ECC, Dayton, O hio 45444, or telephone (513)

6.6 Approved source s of supply. Approve d sources of supply are li sted in QML-38534. Additional sour ces w ill be added to
QML- 38534 as they become available. The vendors listed in QML-38534 hav e a gre ed to this draw ing and a certificate of
compliance (see 3.7 herein) has been submitted to and acce pted by DESC-ECC.
