DESCRIPTION
The MP Series LVDTs provide classic precision performance in harsh industrial environments. The rugged,
extruded anodized aluminum housing contains a 100% epoxy encapsulated LVDT, affording superior
environmental, mechanical and EMI/RFI protection. The convenient heavy-duty terminal strip replaces multiple
lead wir es there by sim plif ying elec trica l connec tion, whil e the m ountin g flan ges e ase m echanical insta llation. An
integral PTFE bore liner provides a smooth, low-friction bearing surface for the core and reduces diametrical
clearance.
Available in a variety of stroke ranges from ±0.5 to ±10 inches, the MP Series is the ideal choice for industrial
mill type applications, power turbines, or wherever aggressive environmental conditions are present. The MP
Series is also av ai lable with a small diam eter /lo w-mass cor e, f or applicati ons where ex c es sive cor e weight c o ul d
influenc e th e motion. T he l i ght weig ht c or e can als o reduce mechanic a l st res s es and he lp pr es erve th e s tructural
integrit y of the core actuation as sem bly during hi gh speed dis placem ent or unde r high vibrat ion. The MP Series
is compatible with the full line of Measurement Specialties LVDT signal conditioners, readouts and controllers.
Like in most of our LVDTs, the MP windings are vacuum impregnated with a specially formulated, high
temper ature, flexib le resin, and the c oil ass embly is po tted insi de its hous ing with a two-com ponent ep oxy. This
provides ex cell ent pr otection agains t hosti le en viro nments such as high humidit y, vibration and shock.
Measurement Specialties, Inc. (NASDAQ MEAS) offers many other types of sensors and signal conditioners.
