Aptina Demo3 Demo Kit
Aptina has developed a new demo kit called the Demo3 (AGB1N0CS) which replaces the previous
version called the Demo2X. The primary improvement with Demo3 is that it now utilizes USB 3.0 instead
of USB 2.0, this provides higher bandwidth from the camera to the PC (raw bandwidth for USB 3.0 is 5
Gb/sec). The Demo2X will continue to be supported as it remains completely adequate for lower
bandwidth sensors.
The Demo3 baseboard sends sensor image data to the host computer through a high-bandwidth USB 3.0
interface as well as to an external HDMI monitor (if using supported co-processor). It takes
single/dual/quad MIPI interface, dual/quad lanes HiSPi interface, CCP, and parallel interface from the
sensor headboard, which eliminates the need for additional receiver boards. The board has 1G Bit
memory for buffering frames before sending image data to the host computer.

Another improvement of the Demo3 is its high speed connector which supports all supported interfaces
(parallel, MIPI, CCP and HiSPi) eliminating the need for additional cabling when using a Demo3 style
headboard.
