Cooper Bussmann®Paul P. Gubany
Center Receives Prestigious ASTA
Accreditation
The Cooper Bussmann Paul P. Gubany Center in St.
Louis is certified by Britain’s prestigious ASTA
(Associated Short Circuit Testing Authority) to
perform short testing of its own devices designed to
operate to ASTA requirements which are closely tied
to IEC requirements. The Gubany Center is the only
testing facility available in Nor th or South America
for this product cer tifica tion.
The Gubany Center has equipment capable of
generating 300,000A of current a t 600Vac three-
phase, and 100,000A a t 170Vdc, under carefully
controlled conditions. It of fers a wider range of
cur rent volta ge and frequency configurations than
any other facility of its kind in the wor ld, and is built
to exceed the short circuit capacity of today’s high
power electrical distribution systems.
