DDC-49530/49590/55688/57470/57471/73089 THIN-FILM RESISTOR NETWORKS FEATURES * High Reliability * Precision Tolerance * Lead Free Available DESCRIPTION Synchro/Resolver-to-Digital converters such as DDC's RDC19220/2S and RD-19230 require closely matched 2 Vrms sin/cos input voltages to minimize digital error. DDC offers custom thin-film resistor networks that provide precision matched 2 Vrms outputs for 2 Vrms, 11.8 Vrms, or 90 Vrms applications. Most resistor networks are matched to 0.02%, which equates to 1 LSB of error for a 16-bit application. APPLICATIONS These thin-film resistor networks are ideal for use with monolithic Synchro/Resolver-to-Digital converters that require 2 Vrms sin/cos inputs. R1 tolerance specification is 0.1% of 70.8k and an actual value measured must be used for the relative values. "R2" value (12k) must be offset to be relative to R1. Example: R1 (70.8K) actually measured = 70.8354K = (Within 0.1% spec) R2 is relative to R1 R2 required = 12K R2 Offset calculation is as follows: R2 = Relative resistor actual value x (Resistor value to be calculated / Relative resistor value) R2 = 70.8354K x (12K / 70.8K) = 12.006K R2 installed must be 12.006k +/- 0.02% Next relative value to calculate is R4 (Note that the data sheet listing is in alpha order, not working order) R4 (70.8K) is relative to R1 R1 (70.8K) actually measured = 70.8354K R4 required = 70.8K R4 Offset calculation is as follows: R4 = Relative resistor actual value x (Resistor value to be calculated / Relative resistor value) R4 = 70.8354K x (70.8K / 70.8K) = 70.8354K R4 installed must be 70.8354K +/- 0.02% Next relative value to calculate is R3, which is relative to R4. R4 must be measured for calculation R3 offset must be calculated Installed R3 must be within 0.02% of calculated offset value.
