Product Description
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP-4XL EG is an electronic grade, high performance, two-part, toughened epoxy
adhesive offering outstanding shear and peel adhesion, and very high levels of durability similar to 3M™ Scotch-Weld™
Epoxy Adhesive DP-460 EG. Scotch-Weld DP-4XL EG has an extra long worklife to allow for bonding large parts, longer
dispensing time after mixing or assembling large batches of parts prior to heat curing. Scotch-Weld DP-4XL EG will
achieve handling strength after 24 hours at room temperature and will finish curing at room temperature in 7 days. Curing
can be completed more quickly at elevated temperatures as shown in the attached figure.

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP-4XL EG cures in 7 days at room temperature. Heat accelerates cure and results in
a higher Tgthan room temperature cure. See figure below.

Note: If the adhesive has become grainy or lumpy in appearance when dispensed, this may be due to crystallization of the
adhesive. This can be corrected by heating the adhesive in the syringe to 120°F (49°C) for 30 minutes, then allowing
the adhesive to cool before dispensing.

Storage and Shelf Life
Storage: Store 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP-4XL EG at 60-80°F (15-27°C) or refrigerate for maximum
shelf life.
Shelf Life: 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP-4XL EG has a shelf life of 15 months in its original container.
