technik: Grenzenlose
Möglichkeiten
Kontaktlamellen sind speziell geformte,
widerstandsfähige Streifen aus Kup-
ferlegierung, je nach Anwendung ver-
silbert oder vergoldet. Der konstante
Federdruck der Lamelle sorgt für eine
permanente Kontaktierung mit der
Kontakt oberfl äche und daraus resultiert
ein tiefer und konstanter Kontaktwider-
stand.
Die Kontaktlamellentechnik ermöglicht
uns, eine Vielzahl von Lösungen anzu-
bieten und selbst härteste Bedingun-
gen zu erfüllen, sowohl elektrisch (bis
zu mehreren kA) und thermisch (bis zu
350°C) als auch mechanisch, mit Kon-
taktbeständigkeit bis zu 1 Million Steck-
zyklen.

tigung kundenspezifi scher Lösungen

MC Multilam Technology:
unlimited possibilities
Multilams are specially formed, resilient
strips of copper alloy which are gold or
silver-plated according to their applica-
tion and are fl oat-mounted in a groove.
By its constant spring pressure the Mul-
tilam maintains continuous contact with
the contact surface, resulting in a low
and constant contact resistance.
Multilam technology allows us to meet
a very broad range of requirements and
to fi nd solutions to the most sev ere con-
straints, including electrical (up to sev-
eral kA), thermal (up to 350°C) and me-
chanical, with contact durability of up to
1 million mating cycles.
We are specialized in the design of cus-
tomized solutions.

en alliage de cuivre, de forme particu-
lière, argentées ou dorées selon l‘applica-
tion. La pression constante exercée par
les lamelles garantit un contact perma-

ainsi une résistance de passage basse et
constante.
La technologie du contact à lamelles per-
met d‘offrir des solutions diverses et va-
riées, en réponse aux contraintes les plus
sévères. qu‘elles soient d‘ordre électrique
(jusqu‘à plusieurs kA), thermique (jusqu‘à
350°C) ou mécanique (contact stable

dungen, die mit MC Elementen steckbar
sind und von den Herstellern manchmal
auch als “MC kompatibel” bezeichnet
werden, entsprechen nicht den Anforde-
rungen für eine sichere, langzeitstabile
elektrische Verbindung und dürfen aus
Sicherheitsgründen nicht mit MC Ele-
menten gesteckt werden. Wir überneh-
men deshalb keine Haftung, falls diese
von MC nicht freigegebenen Steckver-
bindungen mit MC Elementen gesteckt
werden und deshalb Schäden entstehen.

Plug connectors that are not made by
MC but can be mated with MC ele-
ments and are sometimes also descri-
bed by their manufacturers as “MC
compatible”, do not conform to the re-
quirements for a safe electrical connec-
tion with long-term stability and for safe-

cept no liability if these connectors
which are not approved by MC are ma-
ted with MC elements and damage

Technische Hinweise
Crimpanschlüsse
Für den Leiteranschluss an die Crimphül-
sen der PV-Steckverbinder empfehlen
wir die angegebenen Crimpwerkzeuge
einzusetzen. Für UL zugelassene Produk-
te können nur die erwähnten Werkzeuge
für die Selbstmontage gemäss den Mon-
tageanleitungen verwendet werden. Die
Crimphülsen sind für flexible Leiter (Klas-
se 5 und 6) der genannten Querschnitts-
bereiche ausgelegt. Der Einsatz mehr-
drähtiger Leiter (Klasse 2) ist möglich.
Verzinnte Leiter sind vorteilhaft.
Anschlussleitung
Zur Sicherstellung einer ausreichenden
Dichtheit des Leitungsausgangs der
PV-Steckverbinder sind Anschlussleitun-
gen in den, den Isolationsgehäusen zu-
gewiesenen, Durchmesserbereichen ein-
zusetzen.
Verlegebedingungen
Ein scharfkantiges Abbiegen der An-
schlussleitung am Ausgang der PV-Steck-
verbinder ist beim Verlegen der PV-Lei-
tungen zu vermeiden. Wir empfehlen die
Mindestbiegeradien der Anschlussleitung
einzuhalten.

Technical information
Crimped terminations
For termination of the conductors to the
crimping sleeves of the PV plug connec-
tors we recommend using the stated
crimping tools. For UL certified products
only the tools mentioned can be used
for self-assembly according to the as-
sembly instructions. The crimping
sleeves are designed for highly flexible
conductors of the stated cross-section
ranges. The use of flexible conductors is
possible. It is advantageous to use
tinned conductors.
Connecting cables
To ensure that the cable outlets of the
PV plug connectors are sufficiently wa-
tertight, connecting cables of the speci-
fied diameter ranges for the insulating
casings must be used.
Laying conditions
When laying the PV leads, avoid having
the connecting cable resting on a sharp
edge at the exit from the PV connector.
We recommend observing the mini-
mum bending radius of the connecting
cables.

Le sertissage
Pour le raccordement des câbles sur les
connecteurs PV, nous recommandons
l’utilisation des outils de sertissage spé-
cifiés. Pour les produits certifiés UL,
seuls les outils mentionnés peuvent
être utilisés selon les instructions de
montage. Les fûts à sertir sont dimen-
sionnés pour des conducteurs ex-
tra-souples de section spécifiée. L’utili-
sation de conducteurs souples est
possible. Les conducteurs étamés
offrent des avantages.
Câble de raccordement
Afin de garantir un niveau d’étanchéité
suffisant au niveau de la sortie de câble
des connecteurs PV, il convient d’utili-
ser des câbles dont le diamètre sur iso-
lant est compatible avec le capuchon
isolant du connecteur.
Conditions d’installation
Au niveau du connecteur PV, éviter
toute sortie de câble à angle vif. Veiller à
respecter le rayon minimal de courbure
prescrit.

Ist die maximale Spannung für welche
die Komponenten des PV-Steckverbin-
dersystems eingesetzt werden dürfen
und gemäss IEC 60664-1 bemessen

Kontaktwiderstand
Ist der an der Berührstelle zweier Kon-
taktflächen auftretende Widerstand.
Prüfspannung
Ist die Spannung, bei welcher die Kom-
ponenten des PV-Steckverbindersys-
tems bei festgelegten Bedingungen
ohne Durch- oder Überschlag im Neuzu-
stand geprüft werden.
Trennen unter Last
Gesteckte PV-Steckverbindungen dür-
fen nicht unter Last getrennt werden.
Das Stecken und Trennen unter Span-
nung ist möglich.
Witterungsschutz
Nicht gesteckte PV-Steckverbinder sind
mit einer Verschlusskappe vor Feuchtig-
keit und Schmutz zu schützen.
Orientierung der Paneldose
Die Befestigung der Paneldose auf dem
PV-Modul hat so zu erfolgen, dass in
dessen späterem Gebrauchszustand die
Leitungsausgänge der Paneldose nach
unten gerichtet sind.

PV plug connections must not be un-

unplugging while under tension is per-
mitted.
Protection against weather
Sealing caps must be used to protect
unplugged PV-connectors from mois-
ture and dirt.
Positioning of the junction box
The junction box must be fixed on the
PV module in such a position that the
cable outlets of the junction box point
downwards when in use.

Pour protéger les connecteurs PV à l’é-
tat déconnecté contre l’humidité et la
poussière, l’utilisation de bouchons de
protection est nécessaire.
Orientation du boîtier de jonction
Le boîtier de jonction doit être fixé sur le
module PV de telle façon que les sorties
de câbles du boîtier de jonction soient
dirigées vers le bas dans leur état d’utili-
sation ultérieur.
