Sensors per DIN EN 60947-5-6 (NAMUR) and mechanical contacts may be used as alarms. Control circuits are monitored for lead breakage (LB) and short circuit (SC). The external faults are indicated according to NAMUR NE44 by a red flashing LED. For type KFD2-SR2-Ex2.W, an LB/SC combined error signal is in addition transferred through the Power Rail to the power feed module. The intrinsically safe inputs per DIN EN 50020 are safely isolated from the output and the power supply. Relay outputs are galvanically separated from the mains power in accordance with DIN VDE 0106 Part 101. Relay outputs are galvanically separated from each other in accordance with DIN EN 50178. 10 k 3- Safe area 1+ 400 R 2 k Hazardous area, zone 0, zone 1 Switch S3 in position I 3- Subject to reasonable modifications due to technical advances. 1 Copyright Pepperl+Fuchs, Printed in Germany Pepperl+Fuchs Group * Tel.: Germany (06 21) 7 76-0 * USA (330) 4 25 35 55 * Singapore (6) 7 79 90 91 * Internet http://www.pepperl-fuchs.com KFD2-SR2-Ex2.W Technical data Power supply Connection type Rated operational voltage Rated operational current Safety maximum voltage Um Ripple Power loss Power consumption Input (intrinsically safe) Connection type Nominal data Quiescent voltage/Short-circuit current Switching point/Switching hysteresis Input pulse length/Input pulse interval Lead monitoring Details of certificate of conformity Certification number Group, category, ignition protection method Voltage U0 terminals 1+, 2+, 3-; 4+, 5+, 6in accordance with IEC 60947-5-6 (NAMUR, DIN 19234); see system description for electrical data approx. 8 V DC / approx. 8 mA 1.2 ... 2.1 mA / approx. 0.2 mA S 20 ms / S 20 ms breakage J 0.1 mA , short-circuit J > 6 mA PBT 00 ATEX 2080 ; for additional certifications refer to the approval list II (1) G D [EEx ia] IIC 10.5 V Current I0 13 mA 34 mW P0 IIA IIB 75 F 16.8 F 1000 mH 840 mH IIC 2.41 F 210 mH J.I.3002773 No. 116-0035 yes terminals 1, 3; 2, 3; 4, 6; 5, 6 12.9 V Current ISC 19.8 mA Explosion group Max. external capacitance Ca A&B 1.273 F C&E 3.82 F Max. external inductance La 84.8 mH 254.4 mH 678.4 mH Safety parameter UL control drawing CSA control drawing Control drawing Connection type Input I Safety parameter Voltage VOC D, F&G 10.18 F E 106378 LR 36087-13 No. 116-0047 terminals 1, 3; 2, 3; 4, 6; 5, 6 12.6 V / 650 Ohm 12.9 V Current ISC 19.8 mA Explosion group Max. external capacitance Ca A&B 1.273 F Max. external inductance La 84.88 mH 298.7 mH 744.4 mH Output (not intrinsically safe) Connection type Output I and II Contact loading 06.03.2002 10 % 0.7 W < 1.3 W Power Allowable circuit values Ignition protection class, category [EEx ia and EEx ib] Explosion group External capacitance External inductance Entity parameter Certification number FM control drawing Suitable for installation in division 2 Connection type Input I Voltage VOC 103368_eng Power Rail or terminals 14+, 1520 ... 30 V DC 50 mA 125 V DC ; 253 V AC Mechanical life Energized/De-energized delay Transfer characteristics Switching frequency Galvanic isolation Input/Output Subject to reasonable modifications due to technical advances. Each power feed module serves the fusing and monitoring of groups with up to 100 single devices. The PR 05 Power Rail is an inset component for the DIN rail. The UPR 05 Power Rail is a complete unit consisting of the electrical insert and an aluminum 35 x 15 x 2000 mm DIN rail. Devices are simply snapped onto it for an electrical connection. Without the use of a Power Rail, the power supply to the device is directly through the device terminals.
