Objet à détecter
Matière de l’objet : la distance de détection décroît avec des mé-
taux non magnétiques. La distance de détection pour des feuilles de
métal non magnétique inférieures à 0,01 mm d’épaisseur est égale
à celle des métaux magnétiques, mais si la feuille devient trop fine et
perd sa conductivité, elle ne sera plus détectable.
Placage métallique : les métaux pourvus de placages af fectent la
distance de détection des détecteurs de proximité inductifs. Le tab-
leau ci–dessous contient les valeurs de référence traduites en pour-
centage de la distance de détection nominale et sont évaluées se-
lon le type et l’épaisseur des matières de placage.

Mise sous tension
Le détecteur de proximité entre en fonctionnement 100 ms après la
mise sous tension ; si la charge et le détecteur fonctionnent sur des
alimentations différentes, le détecteur doit toujours être mis sous
tension en premier.
Effets du courant de fuite
Même lorsque le détecteur est en position OFF, , un courant faible
passe dans le circuit (cf courbe ”Courant de fuite et tension d’alim.”).
Si l’entrée est branchée sur CMOS, transistor ou tout autre élément
de circuit non modifié par la tension d’alimentation, des dysfonction-
nements et incohérences peuvent apparaître ; assurez–vous que la
résistance de charge (R2) peut atténuer le courant de fuite.

Charge relais
Lorsque vous utilisez des charges relais, souvenez–vous que la
tension résiduelle du E2E–XD est de 3 V (un relais 12 Vc.c. ne peut
être commuté).
Branchement série (circuit AND)
Lors de la constitution d’un circuit AND par la connexion de 2 ou plu-
sieurs détecteurs de proximité en série, la tension dépassant VL
sera inférieure à la tension d’alim. VS (3 V x n où n est égal au
nombre de détecteurs connectés en série).

Branchement en parallèle (circuit OR)
Lors de la constitution d’un circuit OR par la connexion de 2 ou plu-

parallèle.
Connexion directe à une alimentation
Ne connectez jamais un détecteur de proximité directement à une
alimentation sans qu’il y ait une charge dans le circuit.

Assurez–vous également de connecter le câble marron à la borne
positive et le câble bleu à la borne négative. L ’inversion de polarité
n’endommage pas le détecteur de proximité, mais il se place en
position ON, que l’objet à détecter soit présent ou non.
