Page 1 of 2 LTR Loose Tube Riser Cables Loose tube, riser rated cable is the solution for continuous cable runs between and within buildings. These loose tube cables provide the maximum protection for outdoor installations in ducts, conduits or aerial-lashed. They are also riser rated (UL-1666 OFNR per NEC 770-51(b) and 770-53(b)) and therefore can be routed to many areas within a building, eliminating the need for costly demarcation points. This cable saves both installation time and money by eliminating splice points and the need to inventory two different cable types. Features and Benefits Loose tube, gel-filled for outdoors OFNR riser rated for indoors Reduces splices and/or connections by up to 50% Closet-to-closet installation Available with up to 216 fibers Applications * Duct or aerial lashed applications * Campus type networks * Building-to-building installations requiring fiber beyond 50' from building entrance ORDERING INFORMATION Fiber Optic Center, Inc., 23 Centre Street, New Bedford, MA, 02740-6322, USA Website: www.focenter.com e-mail: sales@focenter.com, Toll Free: (800) IS-FIBER, (800) 473-4237, Tel: (508) 992-6464, Fax: (508) 991-8876 Page 2 of 2 GENERALSPECIFICATIONS Temperature: -40C (-40F) to 80C (176F) Storage; -40C (-40F) to 80C (176F) In-Servi ce Rati ngs: UL-1666 OFNR per NEC 770-51(b) and 770-53(b) C entral Strength Member: Epoxy/glass rod C able C ore Gel-Fi lled Loose Tubes Inner Jacket: Flame retardant and moi sture resi stant modi fi ed polymer Outer Strength Member Arami d fi ber yarn Outer Jacket Flame retardant and moi sture resi stant Maxi mum Tensi le Load: Installati on 600 Lbsf (2670 N); In-Servi ce 135 Lbsf (600 N) Maxi mum C rush Resi stance: 500 Lbsf/i n (875 N/cm) ORDERING INFORMATION Cable Part Numbering System 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Jacket Type: A) Polyethlene B) PVC (General Purpose) C) Polyurethane D) Plenum E) CPE F) Single Armor/PE G) Single Armor/PVC K) Jet Fuel Resistant L) Single Armor (Zero Hal.) Cables with 12 or fewer individual components will follow the color sequence: Blue, Orange, Green, Brown, Slate White, Red, Black, Yellow, Violet, Pink, Aqua. For cables having more than 12 fibers, grouping is done following the same sequence for the subgroup and for the fibers within it. Example: 24 fiber loose tube cable with six fibers in each of four tubesTube colors will be blue, orange, green and brown. Each tube will have one each of fibers in the first six colors (blue, orange, green, brown, slate, white). Fibers are then identified by tube color/fiber colorblue/white being the white fiber in the blue tube. When cables have more than 144 fibers, a black stripe is added to each of the first six colors in order to make 18 recognizable subgroups. In some cable designs, jacketed subgroups may be numbered for identification in lieu of color coding.
