Brief description
The JUMO iTRON cont roller series comprises universal and freely programmable com-
pact inst ruments for a var iety of cont rol tasks. I t consist s of fi ve models, with the bezel
si zes 9 6 mm x 96mm, 96mm x 48mm in por trai t a nd l and scape for mat , 48mm x 48mm
and 48mm x 24mm.
The controllers feature a clearly readable 7-segment display which, depending on the ver-
sion, is 10 or 20 mm hi gh, f or process val ue and setpoint indi cati on or f or di alogs. Only
three keys are needed for conf i gurati on. Parameter sett ing i s ar ranged dynamical ly, and
afte r two operati on-free seconds the val ue is accepted aut omat icall y. Self- optimisat ion,
which is provided as standard, establishes the optimum controller parameters by a key
stroke. The basic version also includes a ramp function with adjustable gradients. A timer
function has been integrated as an extra.
All cont rol l er s can be employed as si ngle- setpoint controllers with a limit comparator, or
as dou ble-s etpo int contr ollers . The linea risations of the usual transducers are stored. Pro-
tection is IP65 at the front and IP20 at the back. The electrical connection is by a plug-in
connector with screw terminals.

Timer function (extra code)
Us ing th e tim er fun ction , the co ntr ol ac tion c an b e influenced by means of the adjustable time ti0. After the timer has been started by
power ON, by pressing the key or via the logic input, the timer start value ti0 is counted down to 0, either instantly or after the process
value has gone above or bel ow a programmabl e toler ance limi t. When the timer has r un down, several event s are triggered, such as
control switch-off (output 0%) and setpoint switching. Furthermore, it is possible to im plement timer signa lling during or after the timer
count, via an output.
The timer function can be used in conjunction with the ramp function and setpoint switching.

Tolerance limit
The position of the tolerance limit depends on the controller type:

Display and operation
Th e t imer v a lu e is d is playe d a t th e oper a tin g level a n d re main s so permanen t ly (n o time- o u t).
Operation is from the keypad, when the timer value is visible in the display, or via the logic input. The operating options comprise start,
stop, continue and cancel timer function, and are shown differently in the display.
The current timer value and the timer start value are accessible and adjustable at any time at a separate timer level.
