1. INTRODUCTION
Cable Tie Installation Tool 734587--1 shown in
Figure 1 is used to apply the cable ties listed in
Figure 2. Read these instructions thoroughly before
installing cable ties.
All numerical values in this instruction sheet are
in metric units [with U.S. customary units in
brackets]. Dimensions are in millimeters [and
inches]. Figures are not drawn to scale.
Reasons for reissue of this instruction sheet are
provided in Section 6, REVISION SUMMARY.
2. DESCRIPTION
This tool features an incremental tension adjustment
indicator, a tension adjustment dial, and an automatic
cut--off blade.
The tension adjustment dial regulates the amount of
tension applied to the cable tie before the tie is cut.
The adjustment is made by turning the tension
adjustment dial until the adjustment indicator displays
the desired setting.
The higher numerical settings indicate a greater
tension placed on the cable tie.
3. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Determine the diameter of the cable bundle, and
select the proper cable tie from Figure 2.
2. Turn the tension adjustment dial to the desired
setting.
3. Loop the cable tie around the cable bundle and
insert the tapered end of the tie through the back
of the tie head. Refer to Figure 1.
4. Pull the cable tie through until snug.
5. Insert the cable tie into the tool gripper slot and
squeeze the handle completely. The tool will
tighten the tie and automatically cut the excess
once the pre--set tension is reached.
