Range High Insulation Resistance Lightweight and Small Highly Resistant to Change from Radiation Exposure Performance The construction of the CTM provides a lightweight, minimum size component which offers excellent resistance to radiation effects, vibration, snock and humidity. High Reliability Requirements The ASC tape wrapped polyester capacitor is designed to provide a life expectancy of greater than 44 000 hours when operated continuously in ambient temperatures up to 125C at recommended voltages. These capacitors are designed to pass a life test of 2,000 hours at rated voltage and 125C after having been subjected to temperature cycling and humidity tests per MIL-STD-202. Methods 192 and 103. respectively. They shall be capable of meeting these requirements with no more than one failure per 75 test samples.
