Used with the apprpriate firmware, full General MID! (GM) compliancy and Ro- land General Synthesis compatibility (as implemented in the Sound Canvas) is acheived. The base sample set is the CS4110; the CS4111 is an optional upgrade/expansion. Combined the devices contain 32-Mbits of PCM data. Proprietary compres- sion and data reduction techniques were used to minimize storage requirements. The CS4110 and CS4111 offer a power-down mode controlled by the Chip Enable CE input.
