RTIFIED CE Q UA M DIN ISO 9001 LIT Y SYS Reg. No. 0548 - 02 TE Product Overview VMOD-2(D) Industrial ModPacks provide a costeffective solution for a wide variety of applications, tailoring the VMOD-2(D) to precisely fit a particular input/output requirement. Each ModPack interface accesses an 8 or 16-bit data-bus, supports 11 address and extended control (IRQ) lines and provides separate interrupt lines. An additional reset facility initializes the the VMOD-2(D) and its ModPacks. Accepts any 2 industrial I/O ModPacks A24/A16:D16/D8, slave VMEbus 128 bytes A1-A6 or 4kByte A1-A11 available to each ModPack to enable additional decoding Address Modifier: Standard supervisor/user data or short supervisor/ user data access via jumpers Address Pipelining: Support for "address pipelining" is provided Data Bus: Full 8/16-bit data bus, plus all extended control lines to each ModPack Interrupt Request: IRQ 1-7, jumper selectable. Interrupt vector generated by the ModPack or via jumper setting DTACK Generation: Generated by each of the fitted ModPacks Local Reset: Two-wire input available on front-panel connector which may be disabled by jumper setting Power Req.: +5V DC (5%), 140mA typically. without ModPacks Dimensions: 3U 100mm x 160mm x 20.4mm (4HP) Front Panel: 50-pin male flat ribbon cable header with retaining latches (VMOD-2); 50-pin D-Sub connector (-2D) Temp. Ranges: 0C to +70C -40C to +85C (extended E2) -55C to +85C (storage) Humidity: 5% to 95% non-condensing VMOD-2D Product Versatility: Host Interface: Address Range: VMOD-2 Any two industrial I/O ModPacks from an ever expanding range may be fitted to cater for the needs of digital, analog, communication or counter functions. PEP's open piggyback specification is documented also for custom solutions and is currently undergoing the process of standardization through the VITA organization.
