REQUIREMENTS:
Dimensions and conf i guration: See figures 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Force to engage and disengage:
Longitudinal forc e: Not applicable.
Torque: 2 inch-pounds, maximum.
Coupling proof t orque: 15 inch-pounds, minimum.
Inspection condit i ons: For each test of threaded coupling connectors where the test i s performed on
mated pairs, the pairs s hal l be torqued to 7 to 10 inch-pounds.
Mating characteristics: See MIL-STD-348 for dimensions.
Hermetic seal: Not applicable.
Leakage (pressurized connectors): Not applicable.
Insulation resi stance: In accordance with MIL-STD-202-302: 5,000 megohms, minimum.
Center contact retention: 6 pounds mi nimum axial force. Appl icable to captivated center contacts only.
Radial torque: Not appl i cable.
Corrosion (salt spray): In accordance with MIL-STD-202-101, test condition B.
Voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR): From 0.5 to 12.4GHz, or ap prox i m ately 80 percent of the cutoff
frequency of the test cable, whichever i s l ower.
