The CTD Series is a temperature controller available in two basic models Ñ the CTD 43 is a single display unit and the
CTD 46 is a dual display unit. Both models have a temperature range of Ð199 to 999 ¡F or Ð199 to 999¡C and will accept J,
K, L, or N type thermocouples and RTDs as temperature sensors. Control modes include ON-OFF or proportioning action
(PID, P, PL, PD). The main output can be programmed for direct (cooling) or inverse (heating) operations and the relay
alarm output programmed to 16 different alarm configurations. The auto-tuning ÒSmartÓ function will calculate and set
automatically the optimum values for the PID mode to insure the closest control of any heating or cooling load.

Control of AC/DC Current/Voltage without Memory
When the value of the measured current/voltage reaches the threshold, the output relay changes state at the end of a time
delay which can be set on the front face at between 0.1 and 3 seconds. Once the current/voltage drops below 5 to 50% of
the threshold (hysteresis), the output relay changes state again instantly. Changing the hysteresis therefore does not
modify the value of the preset threshold.
Control of AC/DC Current/Voltage with Memory
When the value of the measured current/voltage reaches the threshold, the output relay changes state at the end of a time
delay which can be set on the front face at between 0.1 and 3 seconds and stays locked in this position.
