DESCRIPTION
The Model 86 is a small profile, media compatible,
piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor packaged in a 316L
sta in l ess stee l h ou sing. Th e M od el 86 is d esigned for O- ri n g
mounting. The sensing pack age utilizes silicone oil to transfer
pressur e from the 316L stainle ss steel di aphr agm to the sensing
element.
The Model 86 i s designed for high performance, low
pressure applicati ons. A ce ra mic subs trate is attached to the
packag e that contains laser-trimmed resistors for temperature
compensation and offset correction. An additional laser-
trimmed resistor is included which can be used to adjust an
ex te rn a l d iff e ren t ia l ampli f ie r an d p rovide sp a n
inte rchangeability to w ithin ±1%.
Sensors with threaded pressure fit tings, weldable flush
sen so rs and hi gh pres su re st a in l ess stee l sen s o rs are also

PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS
All parameters measured at 1.5mA drive and at 25°C after 10 second warm up, unless otherwise specified. Unless specifically indicated, only th ose parameters
indicated as tested are v erified on each part. Parameters are specified for the compensated version only.
Notes
1. For amplified output circuits, 3.012V ± 1% interchangeability with gain
set resistor. See Application Note TN-003.
2. Measured at vacuum for absolute (A), ambient for gage (G).

4. Over Temperature range: 0°C to 50°C Span with respect to +25°C.
5. Guarantees output/input ratiometricity.
6. Load resistance to reduce measurement errors due to output loading.

8. Maximum temperature range for product with standard cable and

9. For gage units used at pressures below atmosphere, the span accuracy
is not guaranteed.
