1. Purpose and Scope
The purpose of this document is to ce rtify compliance to various ROHS regulations of certain
types of electronic equipment manufactured or purchased by Amphenol TCS for inclusio n in
products. This document covers all Amp henol TCS part numbers listed in Table 1 below. This
document covers these products a s the y are manufactured in all Amphenol TCS facilities.

CH-B (X) This part is NOT in complianc e with China RoHS on the restriction of the use of
certain hazardou s substances in Electronic Inform ation Products. Certain
homogeneous materi als used in this part do contain China RoHS Restricted
Substances above the Maximum Concentration Values shown in Table 3, and there
are no known exemptions t o the usage of these substances. However, there are no
bans on the use of this product. The only requirement at this time is that the
hazardous substances (de signated by “X” in parentheses) in this part must be
declared in the Hazardou s Substances Table for the final Product.
EU-A This part is in compliance with Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament
and of the Council of 27 January 2003 on the restriction of the use of certain
hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS Directive).
Certain homogene ous materials used in this part do contain RoHS Restricted
Substances above the Maximum Concentration Values shown in Table 3. RoHS
Compliance requires the use of the exemptions shown in the column “Exemptions
Used”, and explained in Table 4.
EU-B This part is in compliance with Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament

up to 4% lead by weight from 2002/95/EC.
EU-7 Lead in solders for servers, storage and storage array system s, network
infrastructure equipment for switching, signaling, transmission as well as net work
management for telecommunication s from 2002/95/EC. The use of this
exemption must be verified by the customer. Using devices containing lead
in equipment other than that listed is not covered by this exemption.
EU-11 Lead used in compliant pin connector system s from 2005/747/EC.
KOR-1 Lead within cathode-ray tube, electrical parts and the glass of fluorescent tube
KOR-2 Lead as an alloy component in iron with up to 0.35% lead content based on
weight, aluminum with 0.4% lead content, copper alloy with 4% lead content
KOR-4 Lead included in the solder for server, memory device, memory device placement
system, network management for telecommunication, network infra device for
conversion, signal s, and transmission
KOR-6 Lead used in compliant pin connector system
ATCS products that are not lead-free co mply with the RoHS Directive, provided they are used in one of
the Application Exemptions for lead authorized under the RoHS Directive Annex, including but not limited
to, lead in high melting temperature type solders, lead in solde rs fo r servers, storage and storage array
systems, lead in solders for network infrastru cture equipment for swit ching, signaling, transmission as well
as network management for telecommunication and Lead used in compliant pin connector systems. To
the extent these ATCS products are not used as p rovided for in one of the Application Exemptions, these
Products would not comply with the RoHS Directive.
Any uses of lead-containing Products by Customer outside of the Application Exemption limits set forth in
the RoHS Directive, shall be at Customer’s sole risk, and ATCS disclaims any and all responsibility and or
liability related to such use.
