Simple mini-USB cable for data transfer
for SE 867-AGPS
The EVB-867 board has been developed in order to allow the customers to evalu-
ate and test all the SE867-AGPS functionalities in all the available configurations,
giving them, at the same time, a reference design to start their design from.
The kit is comprised of a motherboard, in which the SE867 module is connected.
The motherboard includes the basic interfaces, such as power input, UART, as
well as a SMA RF connector to plug an external active antenna.
The motherboard is provided with Reset button and power Dip switch permitting
to setup all possible working configurations, capitalizing the great flexibility on
power supply of SE867-AGPS.
EVB-867 is a powerful tool; it dramatically reduces the time-to-market in SW
development as well as in HW design.

The on-board FTDI chip is used for UART
to USB connection allowing the use of
simple mini-USB cable for data transfer
in place of a RS232 connection. The USB
connection is exploited also to power the
module avoiding the need for an external
power supply and increasing the handi-
ness of the kit (important for field tests).
Power supply inputs
The EVB-867 is supplied via the mini-USB
port with the standard 5V USB voltage. On
board regulators generate all the voltages
necessary to power the SE867 module.
