The peak-to-peak voltage (Up-p) shall not be greater than 2 x 2 times the rated AC voltage (URac) to avoid the ionisation inception level. 3. The peak current (Ip) shall not exceed the maximum peak current, defined as maximum voltage pulse slope (dU/dt) multiplied by the capacitance: dU I p max = C -------- max dt Or the voltage pulse slope shall not exceed the rated voltage pulse slope.
