DESCRIPTION
The Model 1220 is a temperatur e compensated, piezore si sti ve
silicon pressure sensor packaged in a dual-in-line configuration
and intended for cost sensitive applications where excellent
performance and long -term stability are required.
Integ ral temperat ure compens ation is pr ovided over a range
of 0-50°C using laser-tr immed re si stors. An a dditional laser-
trimmed resistor is incl uded to normalize pressure sensit ivity
variati ons by se tting the curre nt dri ve to the sensor bridge,
resulting in an interchangeability of ±1% prior to amplification.
Gage, absolute, and differential pressure ranges from 0-2
PSI to 0-100 PSI are ava ila ble. Multiple lead and tube
configurati ons ar e also avail able for cus tomizing the pac kage for
spe ci f ic ap p l ic at ions.
Please refer to the low pressure section for information on
products with operating pressures less than 0-2 PSI. For a
compensated sensor using a gain set re sistor as opposed to a
curr ent set res istor, please r efer to the Model 1210.

PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS
Supply Vol tage: See application schematic
Ambient Temperature: 25 °C (Unless otherwise specified)
Notes
1. For 2 psi output span is 20.0 mV ± 1%, amplified span is 1.232V and TC
zero temperature error is ±1.25%.
2. Compensation resistors are an integral part of the sensor package; no
additional external resistors are required. Pins 7 and 8 must be kept
open.
3. Best Fit Straight Line.
4. Temperature range: 0-50°C in reference to 25°C.
5. Guarantees input/output ratiometricity.
6. For a zero-to-full scale pressure step change.
7. 10 Hz to 1 kHz.
8. Prevents increase of TC-Span due to output loading.
9. 3X or 200 psi maximum, whichever is less. 20 psi for 2 psi and 5 psi
versions.
10. Wetted materials are glass, ceramic, silicon, RTV, nickel, gold, and
aluminum.
11. Soldering of lead pins: 250°C for 5 seconds maximum.
12. Tube length: L=470 ± 5 mil, S=300 ± 3 mil, N=no tube.
13. Lead pins can either be in the same or the opposite direction as the
pressure tube. See Dimensions drawing for lead configurations.
