1. SCOPE
This specification covers the packaging material and standard method for the “4 POS. WIRE TO WIRE
I.D.C. CONNECTOR” in the versions listed below:
• Standard versions: P/N 5-293172-1, P/N 5-293172-5.
• Cable-end versions: P/N 5-293172-2.
2. MATERIAL
2.1 Carton box P/N 2-1196630-4 (or equivalent)
2.2 Folding carton box P/N 1191726-1
2.3 Plastic bag P/N 4-1192361-8 (or equivalent)
2.4 Self Adhesive Label P/N 999639-1 (for SAP Countries) or P/N 999102-1 (for NON SAP Countries)
2.5 Carton or plastic pad (to use as filling if necessary)
2.6 Self-adhesive tape (transparent and without any logo)
2.7 Plastic stretch wrap film
2.8 Wooden pallet (L = 1200mm, W = 800mm, H = 130mm)

3. PACKAGING PREPARATION
3.1 Put n°10 Pre-assembled Connectors (P/N 5-293172-1 or 5-293172-2 or 5-293172-5) into the plastic
bag P/N 4-1192361-8 and close hermetically by thermo-welding.
3.2 Place n°1 filled plastic bag into the folding carton box P/N 1191726-1.
Connectors quantity per folding box: 1 filled Plastic Bag (10 connectors)

3.3 Close the Folding Carton Box and apply the label P/N 999639-1 (for SAP Countries) or P/N
999102-1 (for NON SAP Countries), as shown below:
3.4 Insert n° 32 filled folding carton boxes P/N 1191726-1 (8 x 4 layers, as shown in the below pictures) into
one carton box P/N 2-1196630-4:

3.6 Close the carton box P/N 2-1196630-4 so filled with the Self Adhesive Tape and put one Self
Adhesive Label P/N 999639-1 (for SAP Countries) or P/N 999102-1 (for NON SAP Countries).
The carton box is now ready to be shipped.

4. SHIPPING ON PALLET (Shipping Crate)
A quantity of 18 carton boxes (3 layers of 6 boxes each) have to be stacked lying flat on wooden pallet as shown
below, secured with stretch wrap film, and then delivered.
Recommendations :
4.1 The writing “UPSIDE / ALTO” have to be always complied with (see “crate” design).
4.2 The self-adhesive label has to be always visible from “crate”.
4.3 The outer border of the wooden pallet should not be exceeded.
4.4 DO NOT STACK ANYTHING OVER THE “CRATE” !
