1. INTRODUCTION
This instruction sheet provides assembly procedures
for the receptacle kits listed in Figure 1.

2. DESCRIPTION
Each receptacle kit includes a receptacle, an O–ring,
a nut, and either a Toolless Jack Assembly, an
SL Series Jack Assembly, an In–Line Coupler, or an

AMP–TWIST 6S Jack. The shielded kits also include
a shield.
The jacks accept four–pair, twisted–pair cable with 22
to 24 AWG solid conductors and 24 AWG stranded
conductors. The maximum conductor insulation
diameter is 1.14 [.045] (Toolless jack) and 1.27 [.050]
(SL Series jack).
3. TERMINATION PROCEDURES
Refer to the instruction sheet listed in Figure 2 for
wire preparation and termination of each jack
assembly.

4. RECEPTACLE AND JACK INSTALLATION
The receptacle can be installed in a panel or a
faceplate cutout. Faceplates can be purchased
separately. Refer to Figure 3 for recommended panel
cutout dimensions.

Refer to Figure 4 and proceed as follows:
1. Slide O–ring over threaded portion of
receptacle.
2. Insert threaded portion of receptacle through
front of panel/faceplate cutout. Orient receptacle in
cutout so that white arrow indicator on front of
receptacle is facing up.
3. Attach nut (with 20–in–lb torque) to threaded
portion of receptacle at back of panel/faceplate.
4. Insert jack (or coupler) into back of receptacle
by aligning the fixed tab on the jack with the white
arrow indicator on the front of the receptacle. See
Figure 5.
5. Tilt the back of the jack (or coupler) up at a
slight angle and slide it into the opening in the
receptacle. Hook the fixed latch into the slot inside
the receptacle.
6. Rotate the back of the jack (or coupler) down.
The movable latch will deflect and lock into the
receptacle.
