SB MARKING TAGS

Our most popular tags. The cost

effective SB system provides quick and

accurate identification. SB Push-On

Marking Tags are available in two widths

and fit all DIN rail mount and panel

mount terminal blocks. The SB5/10 is

5mm (.197 in.) wide and used with our

high density 5mm wide terminal blocks.

The SB6/10 is 6mm (.236 in.) wide and

can be used on all 6mm wide and other

width terminal blocks. Up to two SB tags

can be easily snapped into marking tag

provisions on either side of the terminal

block. They can be inserted individually

or as strips of 10 tags on 5mm and 6mm

wide terminal block assemblies for quick

and easy marking.

SB Marking Tags are supplied blank for

hand marking (use our smudgeproof

Marking Pen) or they can be ordered

with a horizontal or vertical imprint. The

standard tag color is white with black

imprint. Tags can be ordered with up to

3 characters each. Imprints can be either

consecutive or identical characters. SB

tags are supplied in packs of 50 and 25

identical strips, 10 tags per strip.

AS 3 MARKING TAGS

The versatile AS3 marking tags easily

adapt to changing requirements. Create

up to 4-character markings from just a

few single-character standard tags.

Reduce the need for large inventory of

custom imprinted tags. AS3 tags are

especially suitable for smaller jobs with

special marking requirements.

Up to four tags can be inserted into

marking tag provisions on each side of

the terminal block. Refer to the Cross

Reference on page 71 for exact number

of tags for each terminal block.

AS3 tags are supplied in strips of 10

tags (50 identical strips per package,

500 tags) which can be separated at any

point. Available in standard white or in a

selection of colors, they can be ordered

blank for hand marking (use our

smudgeproof Marking Pen) or imprinted

with a single character black imprint.

Imprints are available with consecutive

or identical numbers, letters or symbols.

Please specify desired imprint when

ordering.

For applications requiring markings with

more than 4 characters, Tag Carriers

(SCHT) are available which accept up to

6 AS3 tags. They insert into the standard

marking tag provisions on the terminal

blocks. (

Note

: Tag Carriers may over-

hang due to the extra length.)

BR MARKING TAGS

Some circuits require complex marking. Extra

large BR tags are ideal whenever multiple

digits or extra large markings are required.

Their large surface makes them ideal for hand

marking or multi-character custom imprinting

using the Altech Computer Plotter Marking

System. BR tags are offered in 5mm (.197 in.)

or 6mm (.235 in.) widths.

They can be supplied blank for hand marking,

or ordered with vertical or horizontal imprints.

Vertical imprints are typically used when

mounting the terminal block assembly

vertically. However, when multidigit imprints are

used, the vertical imprint may be more

desirable, even when the rail is mounted

horizontally.

Character imprints can be numeric, alpha-

betic, symbols, or any combination thereof.

The standard tag color is white, with a black

imprint. Tags are supplied in strips of 10 for

quick installation. There are 20 strips to a

standard pack (200 tags).

The 5mm BR tag can be imprinted with up

to 6 characters either horizontally or

vertically. The 6mm BR tag can be imprinted

with up to 8 characters horizontally, or 7

characters vertically.

BR tags easily insert into marking tag

provisions on one or both sides of all terminal

blocks. They can be inserted individually, or

as strips of 10 tags on 5mm and 6mm wide

terminal block assemblies for quick and easy

marking.

TM TOP MARKING

EXTRUSIONS

TM Top Marking Extrusions snap onto

the tops of terminal block assemblies to

provide a wide surface for multi-charac-

ter markings. They also can be used as

protective covers for internal jumpers.

Extrusions are supplied blank for hand

marking or for applying computer

inprinted labels. Custom computer-

imprinted labels, as well as blank labels

supplied in rolls are available. Please

consult Altech for ordering information.

TM Top Marking Extrusions are offered

in two widths to fit most standard

terminal blocks. TM1 is 12mm (.472 in.)

wide. TM2 is 7mm (.276 in.) wide. Both

are supplied in .5m (19.7 in.) lengths

which can be easily cut to size.

WIRE MARKERS

Easy to read imprinted Wire Marker

sleeves facilitate wiring and can accom-

modate a wide range of wire sizes. Any

desired combination of numbers can be

made from only ten standard numbers

per wire range -- without ordering

custom-imprinted tags. Blank marker

sleeves for hand marking, and marker

sleeves with alphabetical imprints, as

well as -, +, symbols are also

available.

The flat character imprint surface

ensures non-distorted imprints, while the

chevron cut prevents misalignment of

characters.

Wire Markers are available in standard

pack reels. Ordering is simple, just

indicate the required imprint as a suffix

to the Type and Cat. No. (see example

below).

The tapered Applicator Tool insures fast,

easy mounting of markers onto the wire.
