WHA900 Hot Air Station is a solid performer.
But what really puts the WHA900 ahead is its closed-loop temperature feedback control that
maintains the temperature at the nozzle, independent of the airflow rate.
The WHA900 has a sensor located at the nozzle that continuously samples the temperature and
instantly adjusts the heat output to maintain the temperature you’ve pre-selected. So you don’t
have to readjust the temperature every time you change the airflow rate. Set it once and forget
it. So your rework production increases and your reject rate goes down.

Whether you are replacing SMD components with external solder
connections or other types of components such as SMT bases or PGAs,
Weller provides you with the solution to your rework challenges.
When removing defective SMD components, the need to prevent damage to
the circuit board and adjacent components is critical. In order to accomplish
this, Weller systems use conducted heat from an integral hot plate to heat
the defective component to a temperature just below the solder melting
point. Weller nozzles then direct hot air precisely
onto the legs of the component to melt the solder
joint, allowing removal of the component.
This combination of conducted heat and
precision-placed hot air is especially
suitable for lead free solders with
higher melting points.
