EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
HMIS:
Physical state: Liquid HEALTH: 1
Color: Clear FLAMMABILITY: 1
Odor: mild PHYSI CAL HAZARD: 0
Personal Protection: See MSDS Section 8
CAUTION: NOT EXPECTED TO PRESENT ANY UNUSUAL HAZARDS IN NORMAL USE.
MAY CAUSE SLIGHT EYE, SKIN OR RESPIRATORY TRACT IRRITATION ON
REPEATED CONTACT.
Relevant routes of exposure: Ingestion
Potential Health Effects
Inhalation: When heated to temperatures exceeding 300° F (150° C) in the presence of air, silicones may
form formaldehyde vapors . Formaldehyde is a potenti al cancer hazard and a known sk i n and
respiratory sensitizer. Vapors irritate the eyes, nos e and throat. Safe handli ng conditions may
be maintained by keepi ng formal dehyde vapor concentrations below the OSHA permissible
limit. Mist or spray may caus e respiratory tract irritation and delayed ons et pulm onary edema.
Skin contact: Not expected to be a hazard. Prolonged or repeated contact may cause irritation.
Eye contact: Not expected to cause injury. Eye contact may cause mild irritat i on.
Ingestion: Not expected under normal conditions of use.
Existing conditions aggravated by
exposure: None known
This material is not considered hazardous by t he OSHA Hazard Comm unic at ion Standard (29
CFR 1910.1200).
See Section 11 for additional toxicological information.

4. FIRST AID M EASURES
Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If symptoms develop and pers ist, get m edical attent i on. If
breathing is difficul t, gi ve oxygen. Get imm edi ate medic al attent i on.
Skin contact: Wash with soap and water. If symptom s develop and persist, get medical
attention.

Eye contact: Get medical attenti on. Immedi ately fl ush eyes with plenty of water for at least
15 minutes. Check for and rem ove any contact lenses.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Get medical at tention.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flash point: > 260 °C (> 500°F) HST-US D09F; Flash/Fire Point By Cleveland Open Cup
Autoignition temperature: Not determi ned
Flammable/Explosive limits - lower: Not available.
Flammable/Explosive limits - upper: Not available.
Extinguishing media: Water spray (f og), f oam, dry chemical or carbon di oxide.
Special firefighting procedures: Water should be used to cool closed cont ai ners to prevent pressure build-up
and possible aut oignit i on or explosion when exposed to extrem e heat. Wear a
self-cont ai ned breat hing apparat us with a full face piece operat ed in pressure-
demand or other positive press ure m ode.
Unusual fire or explosion hazards: None
Hazardous com bustion products: Oxides of carbon.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE ME ASURES
Use personal protection recommended in Section 8, isolate the hazard area and deny entry to unnecessary and unprotected
personnel.
Environmental precautions: Ventilate area. Do not allow product to enter sewer or waterways.
Clean-up methods: Scrape up spilled material and place in a closed container for disposal.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Use only with adequate ventil ation.
Storage: Keep away from heat, spark and flame. Keep in a cool, well ventilated area.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PRO TECTION
Employers should complete an assessm ent of all workplaces to determine the need for, and selection of, proper exposure
controls and protective equipment for each task performed.
