This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
The requirements for acquiring the product described herein shall consist of this specification sheet and
MIL-DTL-24308.
NOTES:
1. Dimensions are in inches.
2. Metric equivalents are given for information only.
3. When a connector using the alternate method of securing the shell (tab type) is front mounted, a
supplied third flat washer shall be used as a spacer between the mounting surface and the
connector.
4. Female screw-lock assembly supplie d as an indiv id ual order , not b y the pair.

REQUIREMENTS:
Dimensions and configuration: See figure 1.
Material: Cold rolled steel or corrosion resistant steel in accordance with ASTM A582/A582M.
Washer and lock washer: Cold rolled steel or corrosion resistant steel in accordance with
ASTM A582/A582M or ASTM A666.
Finish: Cold rolled steel - Yellow chromate over cadmium in accordance with SAE AMS-QQ-P-416,
or yellow chromate over zinc in ac c orda nc e with AST M B633 or zinc nickel alloy in accordance with
ASTM B841 over a suitable underplate or Nickel fluorocarbon polymer over a suitable underplate or
pure electrodeposited aluminum in accordance with MIL-DTL-83488.
Corrosion resistant steel - Shall be passi vate d in acco r dance w ith SAE AMS2700, type 6.
Jackpost installation torque: 5 inch pounds min.
6 inch-pounds max.
Jackpost mating torque: 4 inch-pounds max.
Qualification requirements: See MIL-DTL-24308/25.
