Philips Components Product specification Miniature ceramic plate capacitors FEATURES * High reliability Class 2, low loss, 1000 V (DC) (2E2 flanged types) QUICK REFERENCE DATA DESCRIPTION VALUE * Coupling and decoupling Capacitance range (E12 series) 270 to 3300 pF * Space saving Rated DC voltage 1000 V * High temperature circuits. Tolerance on capacitance 20% APPLICATIONS Sectional specification IEC 384-9 (2E2) Climatic category (IEC 68) 55/105/56 In electronic circuits where high reliability and low losses with frequency and temperature are essential, for example: * HF ballast * SMPS * Snubber and high voltage circuits. Because of their small sizes, the capacitors are ideal for circuitry with a high component density. DESCRIPTION The capacitors consist of a thin rectangular ceramic plate, both sides of which are metallized. The tinned connecting leads are secured using a high melting point solder. The capacitors are encapsulated in epoxy lacquer, which is resistant to all commonly used cleaning solvents. They have small dimensions and narrow tolerances on the lead spacing. The leads are provided with a flange. The flange guarantees that the leads are free of lacquer, and its shape allows soldering gasses to escape freely, ensuring excellent solderability. This makes the capacitors suitable for both hand-mounting and automatic insertion. 1997 Nov 04 MAM035 Fig.1 Outlines. 233 Philips Components Product specification Class 2, low loss, 1000 V (DC) (2E2 flanged types) Miniature ceramic plate capacitors MECHANICAL DATA W 0.6 5.08 handbook, halfpage H 0.05 0.03 0 0.25 0.03 0.2 L MSA534 - 1 1.4 MSA531 5.08 0.5 0.1 0.2 0 0.4 1.0 0.1 0.06 O 0.6 0.05 Dimensions in mm.
