The F-CPL-V variable ratio coupler
utilizes two polished fiber halves,
placed in optical contact, to allow
evanescent wave coupling between
the two fibers cores. The coupling
ratio can be continuously varied by
adjusting a micrometer which changes
the separation of the two fiber cores.
The F-CPL-VP polarization main-
taining (PM) version preserves the
orientation of the fast and slow axes
throughout the tuning range, while
maintaining low crosstalk between
the polarization states.
Both coupler versions are offered at
either 1310 and 1550 nm. Other
