Applications
The Trans Metrics' B020 pressure
transducer is made specifically for
barometric pressure applications which
require a high output signal combined
with high reliability, durability, and ac-
curacy.
Design
B020 models incorporate four major
design elements that allow them to
measure pressure under the above
conditions: a beam and diaphragm sen-
sor (for low pressure capabilities),
bonded foil strain gages configured in
a Wheatstone bridge (for accuracy,
reliability, and stability), integral elec-
tronics (for amplified output), and stain-
less steel construction (for durability and
corrosion resistance).
Pressure References
B020 models are available in an ab-
solute pressure reference.
Output/Circuit Types
Three output types (0-5 VDC, 1-5
VDC, 4-20mA) and six circuit types (A,
B, C, D, L, T) are available for stan-
dard B020 transducers. Circuits are
two, three or four wire (circuit diagrams
and specifications can be found on the
back).
Calibration and Compensation
Trans Metrics individually calibrates
and temperature compensates each
B020. Transducers are calibrated
against standards traceable to the Na-
tional Institute of Standards and Tech-
nology. A certificate of calibration is
supplied with each unit.

tions are available and are designated
by an option number (xxx) after the

Trans Metrics' B020 series model numbers are constructed as a series of numbers and letters that identify the accuracy, electrical
circuit, pressure connection, electrical connection, and any options or features which may be unique to a particular pressure
transducer.
The model number below features a B020 series pressure transducer, 0-5 VDC output, 7/16-20 female thread and a
PTIH-10-6P electrical connection. Any other options selected would be assigned a three (3) digit number which would be added
to the end of the model number. In this example, 017 represents 0-10 VDC signal output.
Pressure selections should be specified including the pressure range, units and pressure reference.
