Considering Shielded Cables vs. Shielded Wiring Duct and Noise Shield An alternative to shielded wiring duct or noise shield is to consider an increased use of shielded cables, such as shielded twisted pair network cables and shielded control cables. Shielded cables provide superior noise mitigation and noise voltage reduction, but at a typically higher premium and installed cost than unshielded cables.
